Frequently Asked Questions

If something here isn't clear, contact us and we'll answer it directly.

What is PestHelp?

PestHelp is a consumer connection service. We help people who are dealing with a pest problem find and connect with independent pest-control providers that participate in our network and serve their area.

Does PestHelp perform pest control?

No. PestHelp does not perform inspections, treatments or any other pest-control service, and does not employ exterminators. All service is performed by independent providers.

Is PestHelp a pest-control company?

No. PestHelp is a publisher and consumer connection service. Participating providers are separate, independent businesses that set their own pricing, scheduling and service terms.

How does the call connection work?

When you call the number shown on the site, your call may be routed to an independent participating provider that covers your area. If no participating provider is available for your location or time, the call may not connect.

Does it cost money to use PestHelp?

No. There is no charge to use the website, check a ZIP code or call. Any cost for actual pest-control service is set by the provider you choose to work with.

Will I be charged for calling PestHelp?

PestHelp does not charge you for the call. Standard charges from your phone carrier may apply depending on your plan.

Who determines pest-control pricing?

The independent provider does. PestHelp does not set, quote, negotiate or guarantee pricing. Ask the provider for a written estimate before agreeing to service.

Are services available everywhere?

No. Availability varies by location, time of day and which providers currently participate. PestHelp is starting in Ohio and expanding over time.

Can I request service online?

No. PestHelp does not take service requests online and does not collect consumer phone numbers. Service starts with a phone call you place, and any appointment is agreed directly with the independent provider.

Can I call about termites?

Yes. Termites are one of the supported categories. Any inspection or treatment is performed by the independent provider, not by PestHelp.

Can I call about bed bugs?

Yes. Bed bugs are a supported category, and a provider can explain what their process involves.

Can I call about rodents?

Yes. Mice, rats and general rodent activity are supported categories.

How quickly can a provider come out?

Scheduling is entirely up to the provider. PestHelp cannot promise a specific response time, same-day service or emergency availability.

Are providers independent?

Yes. Participating providers are independent businesses. They are not employed by, owned by or supervised by PestHelp.

Can PestHelp guarantee that a provider will accept my job?

No. A provider may decline a job for many reasons, including location, scheduling, the type of work or their current capacity.

Does PestHelp guarantee results?

No. PestHelp does not guarantee treatment results, pricing, availability, licensing status or service quality. Those are the responsibility of the provider you choose.

How does PestHelp make money?

PestHelp may receive compensation from participating providers, advertisers or call-routing partners when consumers call. Our Advertising Disclosure explains this in more detail.

What information does PestHelp collect?

We collect what you voluntarily provide (such as a ZIP code or a support message) plus call metadata when you call, and standard website and advertising attribution data. Our Privacy Policy describes this in detail, along with your choices.
